Randolph got off to a rocky start to the day, as the WildCats conceded a run early in game one.

First-year Lauren Morris drove in Hunter Glavé in the fourth, however, to level the score.

The teams remained tied, as junior Hannah Winfree didn't allow an earned run through the first six innings, but was on the wrong end of a game-winning two run home run by Casey Snead to right center.

Randolph made a lot of noise early in game two, loading the bases before first-year Brittany Campbell walked to force in a run.

Guilford scored two in the top of the second, one in the third and added one in the fifth to get up 4-1, however.

Randolph stormed back in the bottom of that frame to equalize.

After junior Erin Wehrhan doubled, Glavé hit a blast to center to pull Randolph within one.

Junior Jessica Nowak singled and advanced to third on a wild pitch and fielder's choice, setting the stage for first-year Rebecca Montgomery, who singled Nowak in.

Winfree, on in relief, worked out of jams in the sixth and seventh, forcing the game to extras.

In the eighth, Randolph escaped the top of the frame scoreless after the runner placed on second per the international tiebreaker was unable to advance any further.

Campbell was Randolph's runner designated for second base in the bottom of the frame with Wilson at the plate.

Wilson singled to center, but Campbell was thrown out at the plate on a very close play.

Allen ensured a celebration immediately thereafter, however, singling up the middle off of second base to finish the game.

"The game was really nerve-wracking but I was really happy score and win the game," Wilson said.

Capping a day she will never forget, Wilson was joined in the celebration by her boyfriend, former Randolph men's lacrosse player Colton Wood, who proposed to the outfielder.

Randolph earned its first conference win of the year with the victory.
