Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- In a battle for the Hill City, Lynchburg took home a rivalry night women's basketball victory, 70-55, over Randolph at the RAD Center.
The teams alternated the first six baskets, settling for a 6-6 draw early.
After Lynchburg got ahead once again, it took a strong 8-0 run to put Randolph on top for the first time.

Bullins took advantage of a steal by senior Jensen Hoover, racing down court to finish and put Randolph ahead 13-12.
Hoover earned two points off a turnover thanks to a first-year Daijah Johnson steal, getting the WildCats ahead by three.
After Lynchburg retook a lead, 19-17, Randolph was once again up to the task as senior Chelsea Tyler and first-year Taylor Samuels hit to get Randolph back up.
Sophomore Jacqueline Hockman responded to a go-ahead three by Lynchburg to once again take the lead, but a 5-0 run by the Hornets to end the half put the team up at intermission.
The second half started off well for the visitors, as LC scored the first five points, never again letting the WildCats within a single possession.
A pair of 4-0 runs put pressure on the Hornets, but Lynchburg was able to seal the deal late with strong shooting in the frame.

Druffel was the game's top rebounder with 10.
