LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph College women's basketball team fell to Shenandoah University, 53-38, on Saturday night at home for their final regular season game.
Shenandoah built an early advantage and never trailed, opening the game with a 15-12 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 34-22 at halftime. The Hornets maintained control through the second half, outscoring Randolph 10-8 in the third quarter and 9-8 in the fourth to secure the conference victory.
Randolph College was led offensively by
Sophia Stevens, who finished with 10 points while adding five rebounds and a steal.
Maddie Pabon provided a spark off the bench with nine points on three three-pointers and pulled down six rebounds.
Makiah Scott chipped in three points and two assists, while
Jaellen Hillery grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
The team closes out the season with 9-16 overall and 3-13 in conference.
