GREENSBORO, N.C. – Oscar Onoszko set two new individual school records as the Randolph College men's swimming team competed at Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon.
Onoszko pulled out first-place finishes in the 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle, locking down times of 56.68 and 1:55.93, respectively, setting new school standards for both events. Onoszko would follow up his performances with a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.25.
Banks Bullard set new school standard and a personal best 6:26.86 in the 500 freestyle, beating his previous time of 6:26.92 by .04 seconds.
Jeffrey Oliveri and Matthew LaPorte both recorded personal bests in the 100 freestyle event. Oliveri took home second-place points with a personal best, and school record setting, time of 51.46 while LaPorte clocked in at 1:09.79 for a two-minute personal record before following up with a 29.43 personal best in the 50 freestyle.
Andrew Scales was able to shave off a minute of his previous standard in the 100 backstroke, touching the pad in 1:03.28 for a second-place finish.
The WildCats are back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 4 when they travel to conference rival Bridgewater College.
