Men’s Swimming Posts Solid Day Two Performances at ODAC Champs

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Randolph College men's swimming team continued competition on Day 2 of the meet with a full slate of performances. 

In the 500 freestyle, Evan Shopbell led the way for the WildCats, finishing 17th overall with a time of 4:55.60 to just miss the B-final qualification. Marshall Howard followed in at 5:08.43, while Conner Fulcher placed with a time of 6:21.43. Mason Williams rounded out the event for Randolph, finishing in 6:26.99.

Ben Hiss represented Randolph in the 200 individual medley, recording a time of 2:03.92.

The WildCats saw strong efforts in the 50 freestyle as well, paced by Josh Vogl, who finished with a time of 22.46. Channing Scott placed at 23.68, while Solomon Lewis touched the wall in 24.57. Fulcher added another race to his day with a time of 27.10, and Will Perrow closed out Randolph's entries with a 27.45.

The team of Vogl, Shopbell, Scott, and Lewis placed seventh in the 200 Free relay with a time of 1:32.22 to kick off the evening session. The team also competed in the 400 Medley Relay (Howard, Hiss, Scott, and Shopbell) and finished sixth with a time of 3:43.20.

After day two, the WildCats sit in sixth place with 76 points. Tomorrow's session starts at 10 a.m. with the evening session beginning at 6 p.m.
