Softball to Play Two DHs on the Road

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Randolph College softball team will pick up its post Spring Break schedule, with two doubleheaders this week, both of them coming on the road.  On Tuesday, the WildCats will make up the early season postponement, traveling to William Peace University, before heading to Emory & Henry College on Saturday.

The 'Cats (11-5 overall) and Pacers (15-5) have only shared one common opponent this year: Salem College.  The Pacers swept the Spirits in their opening doubleheader, while the WildCats fell in extra innings in both games this past Sunday.  It should be a good pitching matchup as Morgan Farmer is 9-1 for WPU, while Lindsey Chaney comes into the contest with a 4-1 record.

On Saturday, Randolph will play the Wasps (7-9) in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener for both schools.  The two teams have not played any common opponents this year, having traveled to two different locations for Spring Break.  Two players in the game currently rank in the top-five in the ODAC in Runs Batted In (RBI).  Caley Hodge is third with 19, while Rebecca Montgomery is fifth with 12.

Both days will feature live stats.  On Tuesday, the link can be found at http://www.sidearmstats.com/peace/softball/ and Saturday's game can be followed along at http://portal.stretchinternet.com/ehc/#
