ROANOKE, Va. -- Randolph earned a big win in its quest for a home playoff match, topping Hollins, 7-2, Monday.
With the win, Randolph moves into the No. 4 spot in the standings with four matches to go, unofficially locking up a playoff spot in the process.
Eight teams make the ODAC tournament with the top four earning a home match in the quarterfinals.
Randolph won two of the three in doubles play to open the day.
Junior Sarah Parker and sophomore Heather Parra were victorious, 8-3 at No. 2.
At No. 3, seniors Danielle Lewis and Tiandre Forde were victorious, 8-5.
Junior Dina Velazco and sophomore Jenna Sweet fell at top doubles, 8-4.
Velazco fell at No. 1 via retirement after the first set, but that was Randolph's only loss, with four of the other five winning in straight sets.
Parker won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.
Sweet, who suffered her first loss of the year Sunday, came back in a big way, winning love-and-love.
Parra and Forde won at No. 4 and No. 6 by the same score: 6-2, 6-3.
At No. 5, Lewis won in a tight super-tiebreaker, 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8).
Randolph now has back-to-back home matches after Thursday's road match was rescheduled at Shenandoah to April 21.
The WildCats will host Lynchburg on Friday and Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday as part of Senior Day.
