Box Score 2 MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Randolph earned another two wins at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic today, sweeping both contests.
Randolph defeated Rivier, 6-0, and Albertus Magnus, 5-2.
Junior Hannah Winfree completed her first career shutout, dominating over seven three-hit innings, to help Randolph take game one.
Randolph made noise in almost every inning, scoring in five of the seven frames.
First-year Gracyn Allen-Ingle got Randolph on the scoreboard in the top of the first with a double, bringing home sophomore Hunter Glavé.
Randolph's three outfielders teamed up in the second, as senior Haleigh Wilson tripled in junior Rachel Hickman before coming around on a single by sophomore Ashley Dudding to make the lead 3-0.
In the bottom of the third, Winfree worked out of trouble, striking out a pair with a runner on third.
Wilson scored again in the fourth on a wild pitch and Glavé scored in the next inning on a passed ball.
First-year Haley Brickles doubled in Dudding to cap Randolph's scoring and Winfree struck out the side in the seventh to end the contest.
Junior Jessica Nowak got Randolph off to a good start in game two with a triple bringing in classmate Erin Wehrhan in the first.
A two-run double off of first-year Lauren Morris put Randolph in a hole in the fourth, but the team rallied for three in the bottom of that frame to once again get ahead.
First-year Jordyn Knapp brought in Wilson and Morris to swing the momentum, then first-year Tiffany Allen brought home classmate Brittany Campbell.
That was enough for Morris and, in relief, Allen-Ingle.
Allen singled in Wilson for an insurance run, but Allen-Ingle finished off her first career save to give Randolph a fourth straight win in Myrtle Beach.
The team will conclude its spring break trip on Friday with two more contests.
