Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- A packed house filled the RAD Center today for Special Olympics Day/Lymphoma Awareness Day, and the crowd was treated to a strong performance from the hosts.
Randolph capped a season sweep of Shenandoah in the 76-56 win, buoyed by 52.1% shooting from the floor and 50.0% from three.
Prior to the contest, the WildCats warmed up in lime green shirts to help raise awareness for Lymphoma. To contribute to the fundraiser for the cause, click here.
Also before tipoff, Randolph was joined by Special Olympians receiving a $500 check from Randolph's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from winning the NCAA Special Olympics Initiative Spotlight this summer. That money will go towards uniforms and equipment for Special Olympics Virginia.

Motivated by those two causes, Randolph came out of the gates in stellar fashion in front of a deafening crowd.
Threes by juniors Gordon Rogo and Corey Brown put the team up on its first two possessions, and Rogo and junior Zach Desgain added layups the next two trips down.
A Rogo tip-in made five straight possessions with a basket for the WildCats before first-year Ryan Fields capped a 14-0 start with a fast break layup.
With that start, Randolph would never trail in a hot-shooting affair, growing the largest lead of the half, 23, on a buzzer-beater by first-year Reid Jacoby before halftime, which can be seen by clicking here.
Randolph opened with six straight points in the second half and coasted the rest of the way, never again letting the Hornets within 20.
The WildCats were balanced offensively with four players in double digits.
Rogo and junior Jason Eddie each had 16 points, while Desgain and Fields added 10.
"It always feels good to know we are not just playing for other people," Eddie said after the emotional day. "It is awesome to be able to show that we have their backs just as much as they have ours."
The WildCats, who have shot 49.0% or better in three straight games, will try to continue their torrid shooting pace on Wednesday at Washington and Lee.
