SALEM, Va.- The Randolph men's basketball team played its final regular season game on Saturday at Roanoke. The Maroons defeated the WildCats by the score of 83-57.

In the first half, the Maroons got out to a 13-4 lead at the 14:26 mark. The WildCats closed to within three points, 13-10, a little over three minutes later. After Roanoke brought its lead up to eight points at 18-10, a 7-1 Randolph run brought the WildCats to a single possession at 19-17 with 11:16 showing on the game clock. A 21-3 Roanoke run broke the game open as the Maroons led 40-20 at the 3:20 mark.

Randolph got to within 12 points, 47-35, at 15:58 of the second half. Roanoke increased its lead to 23 points and its lead never dipped below 20 points as the Maroons cruised to the win.

Elijah Cox (Galax, Va./Carroll County) led Randolph with 14 points and added three rebounds. Aveion Tucker (Newport News, Va./Woodside HS) added 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Khalil Caple (Suffolk, Va./Kings Fork HS) also scored 11 points. Chris Hayes (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River HS) had a team-high six rebounds to go with seven rebounds.
