LYNCHBURG, Va. -- With Randolph leading 4-3 and Randolph
trailing in the only other remaining match, junior Dan
Phung (Hanoi, Vietnam/International)) locked up a
huge ODAC victory.
In doubles play, junior Daniil
Lyalko (Reisterstown, Md./Park School of
Baltimore) and first-year Doug
Corbett (Charlottesville,
Va./Albemarle) fended off three match points, but
ultimately fell in an intense final game at top doubles.

Manglapus (Falls Church,
Va./-)and JT von
Seggern (McLean, Va./Langley) took an 8-1
decision at second doubles, however, while Phung and
classmate Zach
Dales (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque) put
Randolph up after doubles with a 8-3 victory.
In the early singles matches, the top four players split, as
Lyalko and Corbett also fell at No. 1 and No. 3 singles,
respectively, while von Seggern and Manglapus took straight set
wins.
With his doubles partner down a set, Phung wrapped up the match
with a 6-2, 7-6 (3) win move Randolph to 2-2 in ODAC play and 5-5
on the year.
The WildCats will have as quick of a turnaround as possible, as
they will be in action just 12 hours after the completion of
tonight's match at Virginia Wesleyan.
