LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College men's tennis team fell to visiting Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Guilford College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Randolph Tennis Courts.
The Quakers won all three doubles matches before taking all six singles matches to clinch the sweep.
Brandon Braud (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and Karson Healy (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) dropped the No. 1 doubles match, 8-1, while the duo of Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) and Andrew Webb fell in the No. 2 spot, 8-1. Guilford completed the sweep as John Coffron (Front Royal, Va./Warren County) and Jose Merhej (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) dropped the No. 3 match with a score of 8-2.
In singles action, Kulvivat dropped his match at No. 1, 6-0, 6-1 while Healy fell in the No. 2 spot, 6-0, 6-0. Braud lost the No. 3 match, 6-0, 6-1, while Webb, Merhej and Coffron fell at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, with scores of 6-0, 6-0.
The WildCats fall to 0-12, 0-6 ODAC and are back in action on Thursday, April 4 when they host Roanoke College at 3 p.m. on the Randolph Tennis Courts.
