LYNCHBURG, Va. – From April 2-8, the Randolph College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will collaborate with Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) during Division III week to raise funds for the Walk for Water Campaign to bring safe water to hundreds of men, women and children in Puerto Rico.
Every day millions of people in developing countries walk nearly four miles to retrieve water to meet their family's daily needs. In most cases, even after walking for miles and miles, the water they must drink is contaminated. Water Mission helps design, build and implement safe water, sanitation and hygiene solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Through the use of innovative technology and engineering expertise, the organization provides access to safe water for more than 3.6 million people in 55 countries.
