LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph women's soccer team begins its 2026 campaign at home on Tuesday when Meredith College comes to Hill City for a 6 p.m. start. The team was selected ninth in the ODAC Preseason Poll that was announced Wednesday after coming off a 6-9-1, 3-7 (ODAC) record.
The WildCats bring back 15 returners, including leading goal scorer
Madison Booker. She led the team with six goals last season.
After graduating two-year starting keeper
Rachel Fields, the WildCats turn to a new trio to defend the net: senior
Abby Gilbert and first-years
Sam Arrendondo and
Kacie Walker.
"We are looking forward to a great 2026 season," Coach
Kevin Porterfield said. "We have a solid group of returners along with a great group of first-years who will have an immediate impact. Seniors
Madison Booker,
Jordyn Anderson,
Abby Gilbert,
Keghan Marion,
Amanda Ramirez-Rodriguez, and
Madison Ray will provide leadership on and off the field."
The 'Cats have a total of 10 first-year players joining the squad this season. All will look to see time on the field over the course of the season.
