Randolph SAAC Answers Call for Help

LYNCHBURG, Va.- In wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, the Randolph College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has responded to a mission by University of Houston head men's basketball coach Kelvin Sampson. Sampson's team has collected t-shirts and shoes to donate to those affected by the flooding.

Randolph SAAC wants to do its part and will have boxes set up for those to donate. The drive is from Friday, Sept. 1st until Saturday, Sept. 9th.  Boxes to collect donations will be set up in the RAD Lobby and in Main Hall next to the Information Desk. New and lightly-used t-shirts and athletic shoes will be given to sports teams of all levels affected by the hurricane.

Boxes for donations will also be set up next week for the soccer home openers. The Randolph men will host Hood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6 while the women's home opener will be next Saturday, September 9 against Marymount at 1:00 p.m.
