WildCats Fall to #10 W&L
LEXINGTON, VA –The Randolph College women's tennis team took on the number-10 ranked team in the country on Saturday in Washington and Lee University. The Generals won the contest 9-0.
In terms of doubles matches, Dina Velazco and Jenna Sweet worked at number one, but couldn't get the same result they had yesterday. Emmalyn Snead and Sarah Parker played at number two and fell, while Samantha Dickerson and Alex Wieczorek had the same fate at number three.
Singles were also a tough draw for the WildCats as the #10 Generals showed their strength. Sweet played strong at number two, winning two games. Snead played her opponent tough at number four. Velazco dropped her match at number one, while Parker, Dickerson, and Shelby Lutz also played tough but to no avail.
Randolph (3-1 overall) will stay on the road this weekend. The 'Cats will head to Raleigh, NC to take on William Peace University. The match begins at 1 p.m.
