Men's Tennis Earns No. 7 Seed and Will Travel to No. 2 Virginia Wesleyan Saturday

FOREST, Va. -- Randolph was one of three teams to tie for the fifth-best record in the ODAC, capping a record season.

Randolph earned a 7-2 win over Shenandoah on Tuesday to break the program record for wins in a year (8) and conference record (5).

With that, Randolph finishes in a three-way tie for the No. 5-7 seeds, which will be forced into tiebreaking procedures.

All three teams went 1-1 against each other and all fell to Washington and Lee, Virginia Wesleyan, Guilford and Bridgewater. All three teams also beat Shenandoah, Emory & Henry, Hampden-Sydney and Lynchburg.

That sends the tie to drawn lots, which placed Randolph in third of the three teams, giving the team the No. 7 seed.

The WildCats will be squared off against the No. 2 seed, Virginia Wesleyan, on Saturday at a time to be determined.
