LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Randolph tied a program record for wins and first-year Bradley Strober did the same as an individual Friday.
Randolph earned a 9-0 win over Lynchburg at home to tie a program record for wins in a season with seven, set last year.
In the processs, Strober became the first player in program history to 10 wins in a single season in individual play.
More impressively, all of Strober's wins have come from the No. 1 spot.
In doubles play, senior Daniil Lyalko and sophomore Dario Schiano-Moriello made quick work, winning 8-1.
Sophomores JT von Seggern and Doug Corbett battled to another win at No. 2, 8-5.
Strober and sophomore Trevor Johnson were successful at No. 3, 8-1.
All six WildCats won in straight sets with each player winning at least 6-3 in each set.
Strober had no issue at No. 1, winning 6-2, 6-0 to earn his record-setting victory.
Lyalko was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 2, while Johnson and Corbett won at No. 3 and No. 4.
Senior Dan Phung, who owned the single-season wins record before today, added another win to his record-setting career mark at No. 5.
Senior Zach Dales added another win at No. 6 to close the day.
Lyalko, Phung and Dales will be honored on Senior Day on Saturday in a match against Virginia Wesleyan, which starts at 1 p.m.
