The Panthers held on to win the tight contest, 10-9, keeping Randolph one win shy of the program record for wins in a season.

The second period featured just one goal, which went to the hosts, as junior keeper Cam Davis and his counterpart John Michael Smith combined for eight saves in the second.
Junior Baden James continued his amazing scoring form just five seconds into the third period, controling the faceoff and scoring for the third straight game after being scoreless in his first 38 career contets.
Ferrum scored the next three to end the third and the first of the fourth to swing momentum, however.
Down 7-5, Randolph got two quick goals from Soghomonian to equalize, but Ferrum scored the next three to get back on top.
In a game of runs, Randolph had the last run, as sophomore Graham Southwick scored the final two goals of the game, the last of which came with 20 seconds to go.
Needing a goal, sophomore Alex Leyva won the faceoff thanks to a ground ball by junior Andrew Gleitz, but Randolph couldn't get off a shot to force overtime.
James had six ground balls to lead the WildCats, while Leyva won 12 of his 20 draws on the day.
Davis finished with a dozen saves.
Randolph is next in action on Saturday at Hampden-Sydney.
