HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Coming off of one of the most historic wins in program history, men's tennis suffered a setback this afternoon.
An 8-1 decision went to Dickinson on the opening day of Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head, S.C.
All three decisions in doubles went to Dickinson by scores of 8-4.
Senior Daniil Lyalko and sophomore Dario Schiano-Moriello fell at No. 1, sophomore JT von Seggern and first-year Bradley Strober dropped second doubles and sophomores Trevor Johnson and Doug Corbett lost at No. 3.
In singles play, Corbett earned Randolph's lone win at No. 4, with a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
Strober, Lyalko and Johnson fell in the top three singles spots in straight sets, as did Schiano-Moriello at No. 5 and senior Dan Phung at No. 6.
Randolph will look to rekindle the momentum from last week's win over Hampden-Sydney at Spring Tennis Fest, where the team plays Ohio Wesleyan Monday and Westminster (Pa.) on Tuesday.
