LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Randolph extended its best program record for wins in a season in a 9-0 rout of Ferrum today.
Junior Daniil Lyalko (Reisterstown, Md./Park School of Baltimore) and first-year Doug Corbett (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) won at top doubles, 8-6.
Juniors Zach Dales (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque) and Dan Phung (Hanoi, Vietnam/International) won by the same score at No. 3 doubles.
First-years Q Manglapus (Falls Church, Va./-) and JT von Seggern (McLean, Va./Langley) cruised, 8-1, at No. 2.
In singles play, each player won in straight sets besides Corbett.
The first-year competed in an extremely competitive match, winning the first set, 7-5, before falling in a second set tiebreaker. The supertiebreaker needed extra points, as well, as Corbett came out on top, 11-9.
Randolph continues to add to its program record for wins in a season with the victory.
