No. 2 Singles Win Not Enough as Men's Tennis Falls to Hampden-Sydney

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- JT von Seggern (McLean, Va./Langley) earned a hard-fought win at No. 2 singles, but Randolph conceded the other eight, falling 8-1.

The first-year player won his first set, but fell in the second, forcing a third. In that third set, level at 6-6, von Seggern won 7-2 in the tiebreaker to earn the win.

Junior Daniil Lyalko (Reisterstown, Md./Park School of Baltimore) was close to earning another point, but after a 4-6 first set win, he conceded the second and lost a supertiebreaker, 10-7.

Randolph lost the remaining singles matches in straight sets and fell in all three doubles matches.

The WildCats take on Ferrum Wednesday.
