BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Randolph was successful in today's top doubles match, but fell, 5-1.
Junior Daniil Lyalko (Reisterstown, Md./Park School of Baltimore) and first-year Doug Corbett (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) earned an 8-5 win at top doubles, starting Randolph on the right foot.
First-year players Q Manglapus (Falls Church, Va./-)and JT von Seggern (McLean, Va./Langley) fell at second doubles 8-1, while juniors Zach Dales (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque) and Dan Phung (Hanoi, Vietnam/International) lost 8-0.
In singles play, Lyalko, von Seggern and Corbett fell in singles play to give Bridgewater the points needed to secure a victory.
Randolph has a quick turnaround, hosting Lynchburg Saturday. The match is a "Teal Day" match, supporting ovarian cancer awareness.
