Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. -- Randolph scored in the third minute and Washington and Lee leveled with three minutes left in a 1-1 men's soccer draw.
Reigning ODAC Player of the Week Troy Jurney continued with his hot streak early, as the sophomore set up junior Grant Collier for the first shot of the game.
Off a cross, Jurney placed the ball in the middle of the box off of a deflection, where Collier ripped a one-touch shot past the keeper and Randolph took an early 1-0 lead.
None of the next 30 shots in the game found the back of the net, as junior CJ Stevens stopped seven shots in regulation and Albert Civitarese turned four aside.
The Generals had a great chance with just over four minutes left, but Stevens made a fingertip save to keep the hosts scoreless. To watch that clutch save, click here.
With just 3:36 left in the contest, however, W&L finally broke through, leveling the game.
The first overtime period was played tentatively, with just one shot, but the game really opened up in the second extra session as neither team looked content settling for a draw.
Randolph earned four corner kicks in the game's final 10 minutes, which resulted in dangerous balls in the six and equally dangerous counters by the Generals the other way.
With neither team able to break through, each team settled for one point.
Randolph is now 9-0-6 in its last 15 regular season overtime contests and 1-0-3 in such games this year.
The WildCats host Eastern Mennonite on Saturday for Homecoming in a matchup of teams fighting for their playoff lives. First kick is slated for 7:00 p.m., after the conclusion of the women's soccer game.
