Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- A more perfect script could not have been written for Randolph's volleyball senior night, with Randolph taking a 3-1 victory over Emory & Henry.
Fourth-year players Jordan Templin and Kerry McMichael continuted their assaults on the program's record book, as Templin set the single match record for hitting percentage (.622) and kills (29) on her way to the single-season record for kills, while McMichael's 50 assists tied her own program record while setting the career mark in that category in the process.
Before the contest, Templin, McMichael and classmates Lexi Harrington, Katherine Lesnak and Tori Lange were honored before the conclusion of their careers.
All five started the crucial match for the WildCats, with Lange returning from injury to play in the first point.
The WildCats never trailed in the first set, taking the first three points on the way to a 25-18 victory in the frame.
Set two was more of the same, with Randolph winning 25-15 without ever being behind.
Emory and Henry turned the tables, never falling behind in set three, forcing a fourth with a 25-20 victory.
Randolph came out hot, winning the first three points of set four, running away with a 25-13 victory.
It was only appropriate that the final point was a kill from Templin off a pass from McMichael.

"Senior Day was amazing," McMichael said. "The team was behind us and it was great to get the win."
Templin's 29 kills broke the program record of 25 set by Kristin Spinner in 2009, while she exceeded Ginger Raymond's 1997 record for kills in a season (358). Templin leads the ODAC in kills.
The outside hitter added 13 digs, trailing just Harrington's 14 for match high honors.
McMichael's 50 assists matched her own mark set earlier this year, while surpassing Caroline English's 2,444 career assists for the top Randolph mark. She leads the ODAC in assists.
With the win, Randolph moves to 5-3 in ODAC play, putting the team in great position to reach the ODAC tournament for the first time since 2006.
The team can continue building its playoff résumé with a road trip to defending conference champion Washington and Lee on Tuesday.
