2026 Women's Volleyball Season Preview

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Randolph College WildCats women's volleyball team welcomes several new faces to the mix as it looks to build on its 2025 campaign. In the ODAC preseason poll, the 'Cats were selected to finish ninth in the league.

"I am really looking forward to seeing what this team accomplishes this season," Coach Kara Matthews said. "While we have more newcomers than returners, the team is gelling quickly, largely due to our strong returning leadership. We have depth at certain positions that we haven't had in a few years, and our four transfers have brought valuable experience to complement a strong first-year class."

Randolph welcomes six first-year athletes and four transfers to join eight returners. The 'Cats will look to Kelsey Bowler to pace the team offensively after she finished second on the squad last season with 214 kills. Caroline Towle ranked fourth with 119 kills. Bowler and Nadia Warrior will also anchor the WildCats defensively. The returning duo combined for 61.0 blocks a year ago.

The WildCats open the 2026 campaign with a best-of-five match at Johnson & Wales on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. Their first home contest is set for Sept. 16, when they host ODAC foe Randolph-Macon at 6 p.m.
