Randolph Women's Tennis Finished 2013 Regular Season With 8-1 Win At Shenandoah

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Randolph College women's tennis earned an 8-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over Shenandoah University in the regular season finale for the WildCats.

Randolph (10-6/5-6 ODAC) won all three doubles wins, while picking up five of the six singles victories as well. Sophomore Patricia Verdezoto (Cuenza, Azuay, Ecudaor/Bilingue Interamericano) won at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles, while parter Kaitlyn Kolster (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) chalked up a No. 4 individual and No. 1 pairs win.

First-year Dina Velazco (Barquisimeto, Venezuela/Colegio Las Fuertes) picked up a No. 1 singles and  No. 2 doubles win, and fellow newcomer Emmalyn Snead (Fredericksburg, Va./James Monroe) took home a pair of wins at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles. Sophomore captain Danielle Lewis (Kingston, Jamaica/Immaculate Conception) picked up a No. 6 singles win and No. 3 doubles triumph, and Anna Culpepper (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) posted a No. 2 doubles win.

Randolph will play in the ODAC Tournament next Sunday afternoon at an opponent yet to be determined.
