Unbeaten WildCats Keep on Rolling by Topping Shenandoah

Box Score

WINCHESTER, Va. -- No. 16/17 men's soccer stayed unbeaten today with a win over the Hornets.

It is the biggest win in program ODAC history as the WildCats won 7-0.

Randolph (13-0-1, 8-0 ODAC) had control of the game from the beginning and left Winchester with a lopsided edge in shots. This may have been expected, considering the WildCats lead the ODAC in shots, while Shenandoah (0-15, 0-8 ODAC) is at the bottom of the list.

Senior Corey Sindle (Gloucester, Va./Gloucester), who came into the game in the ODAC career record book with 48 goals and 114 career points, moved up both all-time lists with two goals.

In addition, Sindle altered the Randolph single-season record book, as he entered the contest one short of the single season records in goals (15) and points (35).

His 2011 campaigns established the goals and points records, while the sophomore campaign of Jacob Lusczek (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) brought seven assists that year, one more than Sindle.

Lusczek had two assists today. That pushes him above the previous record.

Randolph also received goals from Blake Heatherly (Jacksonville, N.C./Jacksonville), John Adams (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass), Will Wolf (Goldsboro, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons), Celestin Kabamba (Woodbridge, Va./C.D. Hylton) and Trey Padgett (Bedford, Va./Liberty).

It is the team's sixth clean sheet of the season and the second straight, after the team conceded exactly one goal in five straight games. Senior Carter Smith (Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley) turned away the lone shot he faced.

All-time in ODAC play, Randolph's largest margin of victory had been four, with 4-0 victories once each of the last three seasons, including this year's win over Guilford.

The WildCats avoided a potential let-down with arch-rival Lynchburg on the horizon. Randolph makes the short drive to Shellenberger Field on Wednesday to face the ODAC's other Hornets at 7:00 p.m.

With a win in that contest, Randolph clinches the top seed, and therefore assures themselves of home field throughout the ODAC tournament.
