2026 Men's Soccer Season Preview

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Coming off its first ODAC tournament appearance in four years, the Randolph College men's soccer team looks to build on the momentum from last fall when it opens the 2026 season Sept. 1 at Southern Virginia. In the ODAC preseason coaches poll, the WildCats were selected ninth.

Randolph graduated five seniors but returns a veteran lineup, with 11 players coming back after making at least 10 starts during the 2025 campaign. Among the key returners are leading goal scorer Marcus Cortes, who netted seven goals last season, and assists leader Bryan Leiva-Membreno, who recorded four assists.

"We are looking forward to a great 2026 season," Coach Sheldon Blue said. "We have a solid group of returners who played a lot of meaningful minutes that helped us get back to the ODAC Playoffs last year. We're hoping that experience can carry over to this year and help us take another step."

The 'Cats welcome eight newcomers who will add depth and help fill key roles as Randolph looks to make back-to-back appearances in the ODAC Tournament.
