Men's Soccer Earns No. 21 National Ranking from NSCAA

Box Score

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Randolph has earned its way into the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25.

Sporting a 7-0-1 record, the WildCats have the nation's second most potent scoring offense and are one of just 16 teams in the country without a loss on their record.

"We are excited to be recognized in the national poll as it is a tremendous accomplishment for our young program," head coach Bryan Waggoner said. "Any time we can show the country what a wonderful institution we are is a great thing for the program. With that said, we understand this does not mean anything in relation to our overall goals and winning soccer games will remain our priority."

This is the first time the team has made its way on to this poll during the regular season. In 2011, the team jumped to No. 18 due to an impressive ODAC and NCAA tournament run after entering the final poll unranked.

Also that year, Randolph spent one week in the 25th spot in the D3soccer.com poll for the program's only other national poll appearance.

In this week's D3soccer.com poll, Randolph earned the 26th most votes, falling one point outside the ranking window, earning 43 points.

The WildCats have road ODAC matchups with Randolph-Macon today and Eastern Mennonite on Saturday as the team seeks to move up the polls.
