LYNCHBURG, VA – The Randolph College men's tennis team couldn't get much going on Thursday, playing shorthanded for the second straight day in falling to Randolph-Macon College 9-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action Thursday.
Randolph dropped all three doubles flights, and needed to rally in singles play to pull out the victory. It wasn't in the cards for the WildCats though, as R-MC earned all six singles matches for the 9-0 victory. First-year Zach Dales (Albuquerque, NM/Albuquerque) battled back from a first set deficit in his match at No. 5 singles to force a tiebreaker for the match, but fell 10-7 in the super.
Randolph will entertain Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday for Senior Day at 1 p.m. on the Randolph Tennis Courts. Senior Reid Winkler (Roswell, GA/Roswell) will be honored prior to the match.
