Madison Anema, a two-time All-American honoree, has been hired as the new assistant coach for the Randolph College volleyball team.

Anema brings with her several years of coaching experience in addition to her many accolades she received as a member of the Concordia University Irvine volleyball team.

“I’m very excited to add Coach Madi to our staff this season,” said head coach Kara Matthews. “She has had a very successful career and is passionate about the game. She is predominantly working with our front row players to improve attacking and blocking and will assist with recruiting efforts.”

During her four seasons as an Eagle, Anema was twice named First Team NAIA All-American (2012 and 2013) and was a three-time member of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) All-Conference Team (2011-13). She helped the Eagles to several NAIA National Championship titles and stamped her name in the Concordia record books, ranking third overall in career kills (1,285) and sixth in total attacks (3,060).

Anema comes to Randolph with a wealth of coaching experience for multiple summer camps and volleyball clubs. She also served as both assistant and head coach of the JSerra Catholic High School volleyball team in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. from August 2015 to December 2016.

Anema graduated from Concordia in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in multiple subject education.
