Biography

2012-13 RANDOLPH COLLEGE MALE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

2016: Finished a stellar career with a stellar senior season…started all 17 games for the WildCats, playing over 700 total minutes in net…was immense between the pipes as he stopped 141 shots during the year…on five different occasions kept double-digit attempts out of the back of the net…made 18 saves against #19 Roanoke College, keeping Randolph in the game and almost pulling off the upset…earned the win in six contests…finished with a GAA less than 10, which was good for fifth in the ODAC…saved 55.5% of the shots he could, which was fourth in the ODAC…made several acrobatic saves in key situations to keep the WildCats in the game…leaves the program with the second-most saves (656) and the most wins (19)…will be missed in net by the coaches and his teammates.

2015: Continued to be the top option between the cage, as he started all 14 games he played in…stopped over 137 shots during the year…in nine games, made 10 saves or more…set a season-high of 14 saves in the win over Illinois Wesleyan…scooped up 21 groundballs and caused one turnover during the season…finished with four wins on the year…will once again look to be the number one in goal for the WildCats.

2014: Followed a great first season with another solid outing…started every game in net for the ’Cats…finished the season with 169 saves…had a great save percentage of 50.1 throughout the year…picked up 24 groundballs during the season and caused three turnovers during the year…stopped a career-high 23 shots against Roanoke College…had eight games with double-digit saves…will be looked to continue to bring stellar work between the pipes.

2013: Came in as a first-year player and took over the reins as the starter in net for Randolph ... very active in net ... likes to come out and challenge shooters ... solid with his stick ... started all 16 games for Randolph in net ... played all 1025 minutes between the pipes for the WildCats ... made 209 saves, which was the second-most in the conference ... was three saves short of setting the school record for stops in a season ... set the school record for wins in a season with five ... best goals against average for a single season at Randolph ... had a career-high 20 saves against nationally-ranked Lynchburg April 3 ... made 19 saves against Susquehanna March 9 ... stopped 18 shots against Washington and Lee April 13 ... had double-digit saves in 12 games ... posted a shutout against Franciscan.

Before Randolph: Earned four letters for the Warriors of Western Alamance and head coach James Perry ... was a three-year starter and two-year captain for the Warriors ... was an All-Conference 6 selection as a sophomore, junior and senior ... voted Defensive Player of the Year as a senior ... member of the Latin Club, DECA club and Young Life.

Personal: Son of Chris and Donna Davis ... has one younger sister, Caroline ... majoring in Sport and Exercise Studies ... came to Randolph because of the small class sizes.
