LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph WildCats men's soccer team found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-1 decision on Wednesday evening, falling to the visiting Greensboro Pride at WildCat Stadium.
The 'Cats got off to a hot start, scoring the first goal of the night in the first 18 minutes.
Bryan Leiva-Membreno got past the defense to find the back of the net for the early lead. Randolph held that lead at the half.
The Pride responded late, connecting on a key shot in the 73rd minute to knot things up, before tacking on the go ahead and insurance goals in the 76th and 82nd minutes, respectively.
Dominic Cortes, playing all 90 minutes, collected ten saves in the effort.
With the loss, the WildCats slip to 3-3-1. They return to action on Saturday, Sept 26 when they host Averett for Senior Day. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
