LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph Softball team officially released its 2026 schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The WildCats will play 34 games this season, with seven road games, eight home games, and four neutral contests.
The season begins Feb. 26 on the road to USA South's Southern Virginia. Then, back home, they host two straight doubleheaders against Methodist on March 1 and Mary Baldwin on March 4.
The 'Cats will participate in the Grand Slam Triangle Classic in Raleigh, N.C., on March 7-8. Randolph will face some tough competition. First up will be the 2025 NCAA Regional Champs, Salisbury. They will then face the USA South's runner-up, North Carolina Wesleyan, an NCAA Regional qualifier, and AEC Champions, Marymount, followed by a first-time meeting against New York University.
Back home, NCAA Regional Runner-up, Christopher Newport, make their way to the Hill City on March 18. On the road, the team heads to Shenandoah for their ODAC opener on March 21. The 'Cats then host NCAA Championships Runner-up and reigning ODAC champion Virginia Wesleyan on March 24, followed by a road contest on March 25 against Mary Washington.
Randolph is back on home field to host crosstown rival, Lynchburg, on March 29. A pair of road games follows at Guilford (April 8) and Bridgewater (April 11). Then, a pair of home doubleheaders against Eastern Mennonite (April 12) and Roanoke (April 15).
Rounding out the regular season, the WildCats hit the road to Averett on April 18 and Sweet Briar on April 21 to close out the season at home against ODAC runner-up, Randolph-Macon, on April 25, where the WildCats won game one, 6-5 in 10 innings over the then-ranked Yellow Jackets.
