Women's Soccer Earns 2-0 Shutout over William Peace

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph women's soccer team hosted the Pacers of William Peace for its home opener of the 2025 season. The WildCats were able to get their first win of the season winning 2-0 over the Pacers.

WildCats' first goal came in the first half of the game at the 31-minute mark from first-year Noelle Kaiser. In the first half the WildCats had 3 shots on goal as a team.

The WildCats held onto their 1-0 lead going into halftime. Headed into the second half, Randolph added on to their lead by netting a goal at the 61-minute mark of the second half scored by first-year Ava Brandenburg and assisted by Kyla Lockette.

The Pacers looking to get onto board as the minutes wound down, but the 'Cats defense held up to keep the Pacers off the board.

Overall, Randolph led 24-1 in total shots as well as 8-1 for shots on goal. Rachel Fields finished with one save while William Peace goalkeeper Gaby Vazquez tallied six saves on the evening.

The 'Cats will be back in action on Wednesday at North Carolina Wesleyan University at 4 p.m.
