RALEIGH, N.C. - Randolph women's soccer team traveled down to Meredith College for a midweek match-up. The WildCats got on the board early in the first half, but the Avenging Angels netted a goal of their own in the second, for a final score of 1-1.
The WildCats got on the board in the first half at the 9-minute mark when
Holly Bermingham, assisted by
Madison Booker. The WildCats continued their defensive effort keeping the Avenging Angels off the board going into halftime.
About 20 minutes in the second half, the Avenging Angels tied the game, 1-1. With plenty of time remaining for both teams looking to break the tie, neither team could find the back of the net, ultimately ending in a tie.
Meredith led in the shots 13-6 and shots on goal 6-3.
Rachel Fields had five saves and Meredith's goalkeeper Carter Knox made two saves.
The WildCats are back on home turf on Saturday at 4 p.m. to face Salem College.
