Wiehe Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Thursday announced the recipients of the 2024-25 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball teams and student-athletes. Randolph was represented on the Honors Court by Evan Wiehe (Cleveland, Ohio/Nordonia).

The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Over 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.

This is Wiehe's second overall selection after being named to the Honors Court last year. Back in March, he was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team. He was also named to the ODAC All-Academic Team for 2024-25.

Wiehe started 22 of 24 games for the WildCats this past season. He had career highs in steals with 25 and rebounds with 71. Wiehe averaged six points a game and scored a season-high 17 points against Johnson and Wales while also coming away with a season-high five steals in that game.

Wiehe received his Master's in Coaching and Sport Leadership last month. He plans to get into coaching.
