LYNCHBURG, Va. - The College Sports Communicators released its 2025 Academic At-Large Team which recognizes the nation's top students for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Randolph women's lacrosse was represented by
Maddie Friel.
Friel started all 15 games for the 'Cats to complete her senior year. She scored a career-high of six goals, collected 16 groundballs, caused 14 turnovers, and won 10 draws.
Friel is a Chemistry major with a Comparative Philosophy minor. She is a member of Iota Sigma Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa, Chi Alpha Sigma, SUPER program, and was recently inducted into Sigma Xi. Friel also received the James Lewis Howe Award for Outstanding Senior in Chemistry. Friel has also been a member of the women's soccer team for four seasons.
She will continue her studies at the University of Arizona to get her Ph.D in organic chemistry.
