Caldwell Named to Academic All-District At-Large Team

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The College Sports Communicators released its 2053 Academic All-District At-Large Team which recognizes the nation's top students for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Ethan Caldwell (Santa Fe, N.M./Santa Fe Prep School) from the men's lacrosse team was recognized.

The At-Large men's team is comprised of student-athletes from Fencing, Golf, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Rifle, Skiing, Volleyball, Water Polo, and Wrestling.

This past spring season, Caldwell scored a career high 14 goals and led the WildCats with 18 assists. He tallied five goals at Bethany and dished out three assists. He had a four-assist game against Warren Wilson in Randolph's 19-2 victory and netted hat tricks at William Peace and Averett. On the defensive end, he tallied 15 groundballs.

Caldwell graduated Summa Cum Laude from Randolph last month with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, Tri Beta, and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Societies. He received the Grace Taylor Wiltshire Award for Biology at the 2024-25 Academic and Leadership Awards ceremony. Caldwell plans to take a gap year to conduct biological field work in New Mexico before applying to grad school to study Wildlife Biology.
