FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference Team for Men's Tennis on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomores Jacob Martin (Wadebridge Cornwall, Great Britain Callywith College) and Andreas Mulner (Brasnov, Romania) were named to the First Team in doubles.
Martin and Mulner are the first Randolph doubles team to be selected to the First Team in program history.
The duo posted an overall record of 8-1 and were 4-1 in ODAC play during the season at first doubles. Martin and Mulner first teamed up together on March 29 as they won 6-3 over the pair of Mathew Leonard and Corey Beshoar from Bridgewater. The twosome's only loss came to Evan Erb and Will Kistler from Washington and Lee, who were ranked eighth in the region at the time, on April 8.
The two WildCats helped lead the team to the ODAC semifinals for the first time in the program's history. The pair were 2-0 in the ODAC Tournament with wins against Hampden-Sydney's Barret Foster and Thomas Davis in the quarterfinals and Prabjeet Chanhok and Jaeden Mukkaladyil from Averett in the semifinals. The pair ended the season on a six-match winning streak.
