LOUISVILLE, KY - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced the All-Region teams for Division III softball. First-year
Rylee Humble earns Region VI Second Team honors as a utility/pitcher. This award adds to her conference first team nod she received earlier this week.
Humble was stellar throughout the season in the circle and at the plate for the WildCats. She made 18 appearances in the circle and started 11. She pitched 71 innings this year, with her most innings pitched at 10 against nationally-ranked Randolph-Macon for a 6-5 victory. This puts her tied for first in most innings pitched in a game. Humble recorded 21 strikeouts, striking out five batters in game-high against Sweet Briar. She tallied nine putouts and 16 assists with a .926 fielding percentage.
At the plate, Humble started 23 of 34 games with a batting average of .371. She had 70 at-bats on 25 hits, five doubles and two triples. She batted in 10 runners, stole one base, and a slugging percentage of .500. Against Eastern Mennonite in game one, Humble posted a 4-for-5 with three runs, one RBI, a double and a triple.Â
