Reid Assumes Women’s Lacrosse Head Position Permanently

LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph College has lifted the interim tag off head women's lacrosse coach Bruce Reid, effective immediately. Reid will serve as the permanent, full-time head coach for the WildCats moving forward. Director of Athletics, Tom Galbraith, made the announcement Friday.

"Coach Reid has provided incredible leadership and stability to our women's lacrosse program over the last six months in his interim role," Galbraith said. "Randolph is fortunate to have a coach with his experience, expertise, and history of success to permanently build this program. Elevating Bruce into the permanent role was an easy decision to make."

Reid brings over two decades of head coaching experience with him to the role for the WildCats compiling 184 career wins as the head women's lacrosse coach at the University of Lynchburg from 2003-23 and was the 2010 ODAC Coach of the Year.

Reid completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland in recreation programming and holds a master's degree in recreation administration from Temple University.

"I am honored to be named the head coach of the Randolph College women's lacrosse program," said Reid. "I would like to extend my gratitude to the Randolph College administration, the search committee, Athletic Director Tom Galbraith, and the members of the Randolph women's lacrosse team for this opportunity. I am excited to work with our players, engage with our lacrosse alumni, and continue to build meaningful connections within the Randolph College community. Together, we will work towards academic excellence and the growth and development of our program."
