CARY N.C. - Randolph College women's soccer played to a 1-1 draw against William Peace University.
Carlynne Wright opened the scoring early finding the back of the net off a corner kick. The WildCats' defense held strong to keep a clean sheet going into the second half. However, the Pacers responded with a goal of their own from Emma Avery, assisted by Emma Mayer, leveling the score.
Despite several chances, both defenses held strong, and the match ended in a stalemate. Randolph led with six shots total, four of which were on target, compared to William Peace's four shots, three on target.Â
The 'Cats are back home as Mary Baldwin University comes to WildCat Stadium on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
