Men’s Soccer Ties Eastern Mennonite

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's soccer team hosted Eastern Mennonite in a ODAC matchup on Saturday night at WildCat Stadium. For the fourth time this season, the WildCats and their opponent played to a scoreless tie.

The shutout is Randolph's fifth of the season. Both teams pick up a point in the standings. The WildCats' overall record now stands at 2-2-5 and 1-0-1 in the conference while the Royals are 4-3-3 overall and 0-1-1 in ODAC play.

In securing its fifth clean sheet of the year, the Randolph defense held EMU to four total shots and two on goal. The WildCats had six corner kicks to EMU's two but could not capitalize on the opportunities.

Carter Kelly (Carrollton, Va./Smithfield) matched his career high with his fifth shutout of the season. He finished the night with two saves. His counterpart for the Royals, Andrew Arledge, have five saves in goal.

The WildCats had nine total shots and five on goal. Anelka Ngoy (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) tallied three shots and two on frame.

The WildCats are back at home on Wednesday night at they host Washington and Lee. Game time will be at 7:00 p.m.
