Women’s Soccer Shuts Out Agnes Scott 5-0

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's soccer team hosted Agnes Scott on Friday night at WildCat Stadium. It was a dominate performance by the 'Cats as they shut out the Scotties by the score of 5-0.

The WildCats improve to 4-0-2 on the season while Agnes Scott falls to 0-4.

Randolph received goals from five different scorers on the evening. Holly Bermingham (Goochland, Va./Goochland) tallied the first goal in the 15th minute with an assist by Emma Johnson (Rustburg, Va./Rustburg). Later in the 34th minute, Randolph was granted a penalty kick. Carlynne Wright (Lynchburg, Va./Jefferson Forest) was denied on her attempt but collected the rebound and scored to make it 2-0 WildCats. Rozzalyn Jackson (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) scored a solo goal with under a minute to play in the first half.

In the second half, Madison Booker (Norfolk, Va./Granby HS) scored her first goal of the season less than a minute into the period to make it 4-0. She would assist Sterlyn Woodward (Madison, Va./Madison County HS) just over four minutes later on her goal.

The WildCats had 24 total shots on the night with 11 coming on frame. All three goalkeepers for Randolph saw time between the pipes and did not record a save.

Randolph is home again on Wednesday when it hosts North Carolina Wesleyan. Game time will be at 6:00 p.m.
