TEMPE, Ariz.- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced scholar-athletes in Division III men's and women's tennis on Wednesday. Randolph was represented by Amanda Jagdeo (South Ozone Park, NY/Flushing HS), Maddie Mills (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend), and Lena Kersten (Bonn, Germany/Otto Kuhne Schule) on the women's side and Ondra Pelda (Prague, Czech Republic) and Angelo De Asis (Clayton, N.C./Cleveland HS) for the men.
Jagdeo, Mills, and Kersten are among 1,271 Division III women's student-athletes named an ITA Scholar-Athlete. Pelda and De Asis are two of 1,079 Division III Men's student-athletes named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
Jagdeo graduated Magna Cum Laude from Randolph in May with a degree in Biology. Mills is majoring in Creative Writing and Kersten in Psychology. Pelda is a Business major and De Asis is a dual major in Computer Science and Mathematics.
