LEXINGTON, Va.- The Randolph women's volleyball team took on #14 Washington and Lee in an ODAC match on Friday evening. The Generals defeated the WildCats 3-0 (15-25, 18-25, 14-25).

The Generals scored the first three points of the first set to lead 3-0. With the set at 6-3, W&L went on a 11-2 run to go up 17-5. Randolph rallied to cut its deficit to single digits but it was not enough as the Generals claimed the frame 25-14.

The WildCats led 6-5 early on in the second set. With the score at 10-9 in W&L's favor, the Generals went on a 13-3 run to lead 21-11. Randolph was able to cut the Washington and Lee lead down to six points at 24-18 but Avery Myers' kills gave the Generals the winning point for the set.

W&L got out to a 5-1 lead in the third set. The WildCats got to within two points at 7-5 but the Generals stayed out in front for the remainder of the frame winning 25-14.

Jillian Warter's (Leesburg, Va./Loudon County HS) six kills led Randolph. Brooke Murdock (Evington, Va./Timberlake Christian) finished with five kills and six total blocks. Kailee Turner (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) led in assists with 10. Tahani Villines (Whittset, N.C./Williams) had a team-high 12 digs. Jayda Domenech (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) added 10 digs.

The WildCats travel to Hollins tomorrow. The match begins at 5:00 p.m.
