Woodward Nets Game Winner for WildCats over Ferrum

LYNCHBURG, Va- After 89 minutes of play and time winding down, the Randolph and Ferrum women's soccer teams seemed destined to play to a scoreless tie on Saturday evening at WildCat Stadium. With just under 19 seconds to play, the WildCats got the goal they were looking for all night as Sterlyn Woodward (Madison, Va./Madison County) connected on a shot that just tucked into the right side of the goalpost and in to give Randolph the 1-0 victory.

The win for Randolph over Ferrum is the first since 2014 which was also a 1-0 victory at home. It is the first ODAC victory for the 'Cats against the Panthers since Ferrum joined the conference in 2018.

The WildCats improve to 6-4-1 overall on the season and 1-3-1 in the ODAC. The team also stopped its four-game winless streak. The Panthers drop to 6-4-1 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
