LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's soccer team hosted cross city rival Lynchburg in the ODAC opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon at WildCat Stadium. The Hornets came out on top on the day as they defeated the WildCats 6-0.
The loss drops Randolph's record to 4-1-2 and 0-1 in the conference. Lynchburg improves to 3-1-4 and 1-0 in the ODAC.
Goalkeeper Alexis Bossi (Falls Church, Va./Justice) had a career-high 11 saves in goal for the WildCats.
Bo Knight (Big Island, Va./Jefferson Forest) and Abby Whitlock (Cloverdale, Va./Lord Botetourt) had both of Randolph's shots on goal. The Hornets outshot the WildCats. 28-2.
Randolph returns to action next Saturday when it travels to Ferrum. Game time will be at 7:00 p.m.
